KickOff@3 is the brainchild of Michael Wallace and Ashley Levien.

Michael a serving Police Officer working in Youth Engagement is passionate about supporting youth and community initiatives outside work too.

Ashley Levien runs social inclusion initiatives and a Soccer School in the London Borough of Barnet. Ashley also volunteers in the community mentoring youths and contributing to charity work.

In 2017 Michael and Ashley devised a plan to establish firm, long lasting relationships between young people and local police force as a youth diversion strategy and named it KickOff@3.

The project aims to engage with young people through the medium of sports and music and raise awareness and funds for a range of charities that promote health and well-being in young people.

How did this page dedicated to KickOff@3 and the galleries come about?

After supporting their charity event in December 2017 Striking Places was delighted to be asked by Michael and Ashley to produce quality imagery for the KickOff@3 initiative to help spread word of this amazing project.

Striking Places is a specialist photography company that provides quality imagery for location-based businesses throughout the UK and beyond. Google accredited to extending Street View inside since 2012 Striking Places has worked with some fantastic businesses from globally recognised iconic buildings to local independent traders and many other types of businesses of all shapes and sizes from a myriad of sectors.

Our MD, Jo Hailey, is no stranger to supporting good causes and has previously ploughed efforts into supporting other causes such as CEO Sleepout; Jo slept out overnight on 31st October 2016 to help highlight the plight of the homeless. Jo also helped raise awareness and funds for Transitions UK a charity that supports disadvantaged youths in Herts, Beds, Bucks and North London. Jo organised a charity ball and trekked to Machu Picchu on the Inca Trail in Peru in May 2017.

Striking Places Photography is honoured to be appointed as the official photographers for all the KickOff@3 tournaments and the grand finale for 2018. Photographs will be available to buy from our Photography Shop after each event. Profits from sales of photographs and other photographic work resulting from relationships that come about from the KickOff@3 initiative will be donated to the social enterprise.

We are also delighted that our sports photographer Carol Moir will be joining us for some of the London events. Some of Carol’s fantastic event photography can be viewed in our sports gallery. You can find Carol on Twitter and Instagram

From this exciting initiative’s smaller beginnings last year of 6 tournaments in Havering, Bromley, Waltham Forest, Hammersmith & Fulham and Barnet and the finale in Waltham Forest, the confirmed dates and locations this year are more than doubling the interest with potentially more to follow.
