Spire Automotive is an independent, family-run automotive group. It is the parent company to a number of large car dealerships selling new cars and approved used cars for Audi, BMW, Jaguar, Peugeot, Mini, SEAT, Skoda and VW Vans throughout London, Hertfordshire and Essex.
Striking Places were commissioned by the marketing team at Spire to create an individual Google Street View Trusted car dealership virtual tour for each of the 15 showrooms. The brief was to use the car dealership virtual tour to engage potential online customers, to improve the companies Google ranking and to optimise the user online experience. Although the project would cover individual dealerships, it was also important to maintain the Spire brand identity across the group.
The initial car dealership virtual tour project spanned several months and has grown to include newly acquired BMW and Mini showrooms in Highgate. Choosing a car dealership for our website was not an easy decision – should we use BMW Watford because the showroom is on two floors, allowing us to demonstrate the Google multi-floor function, or do we use the Audi Whetstone tour, which covers an area of 27,000 square feet and features a sexy Audi TT Roadster? I have chosen to showcase Spire Audi Watford just because I was a little helper on this particular car dealership virtual tour shoot and fell in love with the Audi R8 Spyder!
