MTPS Catering & Bar Supplies are suppliers of kitchenware, tableware, glassware and catering equipment. Their clients include hotels, bars and restaurants throughout the UK. The company was formed from a merger of Marrey Tableware Ltd and Pot Shop Catering Supplies, and is in the process of a huge rebranding project.
This is a family run business managed by Ali and Andrew Freeman. Their son Caley is the graphic artist in the family. He has revamped the company brand and designed the new website. Familiar with Google Street View Trusted, he was keen to incorporate a 360 virtual tour of the showroom. As a result he contacted Striking Places.
At the beginning of all our projects, regardless of size, it is important for the team to have a clear understanding of the project and business objectives. We advise clients on the best use of their virtual tour and the benefits for the business.
During the initial conversations with Ali, it became apparent that the company name change had caused problems with their pin on Google Maps. Consequently, as part of the Striking Places service we were able to quickly verify the new Google My Business page. We do this by providing the required evidence to our Street View coordinator.
The brief was clear from the outset. Caley knew exactly how he wanted to use the virtual tour on the website. In addition, Ali was delighted to be told that the package also includes up to 10 professional processed Point of Interest (POI) photographs. Their new website and other online marketing would really benefit from professional photography.
As you can see, the virtual tour of the MTPS premises includes a ground floor display area and office and the showroom on the first floor. This makes good use of the multi-level function.
The day of the photo shoot was a rainy July morning. Due to the showery conditions and the occasional delivery of kitchen supplies there were a few delays for the outside panoramic photography. However, the overcast weather helped to defuse the fluorescent overhead lights inside. Shooting under fluorescent light often plays havoc with colour. This can produce very unpredictable results. Overcast skies also help to reduce banding and sharp contrast in the processed panoramas.
Caley has maximized use of the virtual tour on the website MTPS Catering & Bar Supplies. Each product category has a different start point of the tour. This takes the customer directly to the relevant area of the showroom that corresponds with the page of the website.
