KickOff@3 is a social and charitable initiative that began in 2017. KickOff@3 brings together diverse communities and spreads multiple charity awareness to young people while having fun. This Event

The Walthamstow event was led by Jason Hill the local and passionate Youth Engagement Officer from Waltham Forest Police. Ten teams of ten players came together on an icy cold Wednesday in February to play football and try to secure a place in the grand finale in June 2018.
The teams included James Team, Dan Team, Elite, Smoke, Met Police Waltham Forest, East Walworth Wanderers, Waltham Forest YMCA, Salisbury, MetBPA and Benfica.

Which Charity?

The KickOff@3 blueprint encourages each Police Force to nominate a charity for their respective borough or region.

KickOff@3 and Waltham Forest Police are proud to support FREE YOUR MIND, at this first tournament, who joined everyone on the day. FREE YOUR MIND provides invaluable support for individuals who have experienced childhood domestic violence and mental illness as a result.

Other Contributors

The event was also supported by around 30 stalwart volunteers, the day included sounds provided by Gareth Ellis #inspirefestival.

We were honoured to have a live performance by Tricks (@TricksRtb) and Elise of their latest release The Same as You. A song that highlights mental illness. It’s a great tune.

The Winners

Although the weather deteriorated throughout the day the teams played hard and the winners, as you can see, were delighted to have won. Congratulations to the Youth Competition winners East Walworth Wanderers FC under 17s @wanderersfc2014 and Waltham Forest YMCA who were the winners of the Adult Community Competition.

We’re all looking forward to seeing your happy smiling faces again in June at the finale.
