Festival Photography

Bright lights, music, and costumes. Everyone loves a festival, but sadly sometimes the photos just don’t do it justice. At Striking Places we believe that great times deserve great pictures.

Not even the unpredictable movement of dancing can spoil our images, as shown in the picture of a young lady enjoying the music. In this picture the girl is completely in focus and her happy facial expression is perfectly captured resulting in a great picture that represents an amazing night.

These “in the moment images” make for amazing memories and advertisements for future festivals. The fabulous image of a performer jamming on his guitar on stage, accurately portrays those special moments that occur at those wonderful events. The contrast of his red shirt against the blue background serves to bring the artist into the foreground and evokes a plethora of memories surrounding the semantic field of festivals.

The monochrome image of the stage and its lights lowered is a stunning image as it captures the main attraction at one of these events. The use of colour allows for every detail to be inspected in order and without bias. This results in the majestic nature of the stage to truly be seen.

Our team aim to capture emotions as well as moments in our photography, this is shown in the image of the helta skelta. Festivals have the power to take one back to their youth, due to this our skilled photographers decided to take this image from a low point giving the effect of looking up at the slide as a child would. It is details like this that make our images truly powerful.

# Interesting Fact No 170: From Glastonbury to Lovebox, family friendly to glamorous glamping.. we just love a festival! In 2015 14 million UK adults attending a festival!!
