Our Cottage | North London Health Food Shop 360

Google Trusted Photographers Striking Places were on the road in their funky mobile office shooting a Kwik Fit Skipton, North Yorkshire when they received a Quote Request directly from Google My Business for a new organic health food store, Our Cottage, opening in Jo’s old stomping ground of Alexandra Palace. North London Health Food Shop needs 360!

These Quote Requests come in fairly frequently to the Striking Places inbox. They are generated when a business with a Google Plus Page requests a Virtual Tour by simply clicking on the button during the page setup process. This alerts the Google Trusted Photographers by email to contact the business owner. Striking Places will always respond within 30 minutes of receiving the email, even if they are not in the office.

Jo spoke to the Mnatsi at Our Cottage, who had already received 7 previous calls from Google Trusted Photographers with 7 different quotes but as soon as he spoke to Jo he was sold. He loved the fact that she was a local girl and knew the area inside out and they hit it off right away. They chatted for about 40 minutes and by the end of the conversation had agreed a price and scheduled a shoot date.

Striking Places arrived at Our Cottage early one beautiful sunny spring morning. All the delicious freshly baked products had just come out of the oven, the front display window was rolled open and the fresh fruit and veg shone like jewels in the sun. It smelt and looked delicious!

Our Cottage is an organic vegetarian health food shop, selling fresh produce, specialist food products and absolutely scrumptious smoothies, juices, coffees and teas. It began as an idea some 4 years and once they had their team the shop went from zero to foodtastic local hero in only 3 weeks. It is a gorgeous store, and perfect for a Street View Trusted virtual tour. “It’s a small and quirky shop” confirms Mnatsi “and it stocks a wide variety of products. Since it’s not on a busy high street it’s good for people to see what is on offer. It helps to direct people towards the shop. There is nothing for quite a distance that provides the things we do. Or for such decent prices.”

Striking Places Jo really enjoyed her morning there. “She’s like a Ninja Photographer!” joked Mnatsi, “Once she started working she was in and out of corners, covering the whole shop although we hardly knew she was there. She was very quick and efficient the whole team loved her!.”

The shop is like a local community social hub. It’s a very lovely, warm relaxed atmosphere. Whilst Striking Places were there, locals passing all waved or popped in to say hello and chat to the team whilst they got a coffee. Once such person was Alexis Fuller, who runs Ruff Mutts, a dog grooming, doggie daycare and dog walking business located diagonally opposite Our Cottage. Alex came in for a coffee, and after a chat with Jo decided to shoot a Street View Trusted 360 walkthrough for Ruff Mutts there and then.

“It was great!” says Alexis, “Jo came across and shot Ruff Mutts immediately, with no disruption to the business. I have nothing but praise for Striking Places. They were fantastic!”

Both businesses really understand the benefits of getting your pin on the map and both amazed at how quickly and efficiently the process was (both were shot on the 7 and published on the 16 March)
